Lucky Duck

Lucky Duck is an innovative crash game designed around a playful and engaging character: a fearless duck. The gameplay revolves around risk and reward — as the duck jumps forward, it reaches multipliers that increase the player’s stake. The challenge lies in avoiding the crosshair: if the duck is hit, the round ends and the bet is lost. The visual style and animations were designed to make the game fun, approachable, and exciting, while keeping the mechanics intuitive for players.

My role in the Lucky Duck project covered the full design process, from conceptualization to delivery. I started by analyzing existing crash games on the market to identify pain points and opportunities for differentiation. From there, I designed a unique concept built around a character-driven narrative, using the duck as both a playful mascot and a functional part of the gameplay.

On the UI/UX side, I focused on creating a balance between entertainment and clarity. Crash games require quick decision-making, so the interface had to be intuitive, with multipliers and cashout options always visible and easy to access. I developed clear visual hierarchies, smooth transitions, and a layout that reduces cognitive load while maintaining excitement.

For the visual design, I crafted a distinctive style that blends humor with tension. The duck’s animations — from confident leaps to comical defeats — add personality and emotional engagement, encouraging players to continue playing. The art direction uses bold colors, playful shapes, and responsive feedback to make every action feel rewarding.

Additionally, I worked on the Provably Fair Settings integration, designing a dedicated area where players can easily verify the fairness of each round. This was crucial to building trust, as transparency is a key factor in iGaming experiences.

Finally, I collaborated closely with developers to ensure smooth implementation of all visual assets, responsive design for multiple devices, and overall consistency between concept, UI/UX, and final product.

The main challenge was to merge gamification with clear betting mechanics. The solution was to create a balance between fun, animated gameplay and a robust betting interface. Players can easily place bets using intuitive controls and choose between multiple risk levels — Easy, Medium, Hard, or Nightmare. Visual feedback through animations and character expressions keeps each round engaging, while clearly displayed multipliers at every stage help players decide whether to cash out or keep playing. A built-in fairness system reinforces trust, positioning Lucky Duck as both entertaining and reliable.
