Disko Plinko

Disco Plinko is part of Hypeup’s Crash Games collection, designed to deliver a dynamic and nostalgic gaming experience. Inspired by the vibrant arcade machines of the 90s, the game combines the mechanics of classic Plinko with the visual energy of disco pinball. Neon lights, mirrored surfaces, and retro aesthetics create an engaging environment that feels both playful and immersive. During the Full Moon event, the game transforms—colors shift into a more cosmic palette, and the iconic disco ball turns into a glowing moon, enhancing the sense of anticipation and rewards.

I designed Disco Plinko by merging the simplicity of Plinko mechanics with the vibrant atmosphere of a 90s disco pinball arcade. To achieve this, I created a cohesive visual system built around neon gradients, glowing typography, and retro-inspired elements that bring energy and nostalgia to the game. I focused on delivering smooth animations, lighting effects, and particle details that enrich the experience while keeping gameplay clear and intuitive. The interface was developed to be fully responsive, ensuring a consistent and immersive experience across both desktop and mobile. Finally, I introduced a dynamic Full Moon variation, where the visual palette shifts and the disco ball transforms into a glowing moon, reinforcing the platform’s reward system and keeping the game fresh and engaging.

The main challenge was to blend the simplicity of Plinko mechanics with a visually rich arcade theme without overwhelming players. To achieve this, I used bold neon typography and glowing gradients to highlight multipliers and interactive elements, while a pinball-inspired layout guided the eye naturally from top to bottom, ensuring clarity during fast gameplay. The disco ball–moon transformation introduced a dynamic and exclusive element tied to the platform’s reward system, enhancing player engagement. Finally, by implementing a scalable and flexible UI system, the design can easily adapt to different campaigns and future events.
